EREKANI

Erekani means “to exist” in the Purépecha language of Michoacán, Mexico. The name honors the land and its original stewards of the place we were born. More than a word, it is an invitation to exist in right relationship with land, community, and ourselves.

We are a leadership environmental consultancy rooted in the wisdom of nature and cultural belonging. Guided by regenerative principles and inspired by wisdom of adrienne maree brown and Robin Wall Kimmerer, we support individuals, community leaders, nonprofits, and environmental organizations through coaching, facilitation, and regenerative leadership development.

Our mission is to revitalize a sense of belonging with nature, healing the separation between people and Earth, through liberatory design, environmental justice, and experiences that nurture reciprocity, wellbeing, and collective transformation.

Erekani is a reminder: we are not separate from nature; we are nature.
